Technical Lead - Application Development

TITLE:   Technical LeadLOCATION:  Herndon, VADURATION:   4 Months Contract to HireREQUIREMENTS AND SKILL SETS  Must be US Citizen, Perm Resident or EAD ONLY- NO CORP-to-CORP Ability to design and develop applications in Java using the following technologies: Webservices, XML, EJB, JMS, JAVA, RMI, JDBC and JNDI. Should have exposed to most if not all these technologies. Should have experience developing, Unit Testing and implementing webservices. Ability to perform application development using Weblogic or JBOSS application server. Ability to create build and installation scripts using ANT and UNIX shell. Ability to perform software design using object modeling language such as UML. Ability to program systems using ORACLE DB and LDAP as enterprise data store. JOB DESCRIPTION  Creates and maintains development schedules. Performs Code reviews. Ensures that system meets requirements and is coded to design specification. Acts as SME for Provisioning system development, providing training and guidance to staff. Defines coding standards and ensures that system complies. Contributes to the overall provisioning engineering strategy. Interfaces with internal and external personnel to gather consensus on requirements and design parameters, and communicate / knowledge transfer product details. Gathers and evaluates system performance data, and applies results to system development. Works with the quality assurance organization to verify system implementations. Provides ongoing Tier III support for product implementations. Conduct interviewing and selection in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure individual and departmental performance standards are met and take disciplinary/corrective action as needed. Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely manner. Keep management informed regarding problems and progress. Provide leadership and recognition as appropriate. Maintain departmental files and all other necessary records. Compile weekly and monthly operational statistics and prepare reports, memos and other communications. Ensure that timesheets and all other paperwork are completed properly and submitted in timely manner. Coordinate with contractors as needed Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to non-technical and technical clients.
