Senior Network Engineer

 

SnagAJob.com is seeking a highly technical and team-oriented Sr. Network Engineer to develop and maintain the network infrastructure that powers one of the largest and fastest growing job sites in the country.

Responsibilities : Design and maintain a highly available LAN/WAN infrastructure for multiple office and production locations Create and implement best practices for network architecture and security to ensure availability, performance, and scalability Troubleshoot and resolve network related issues in a timely fashion Manage networking projects by developing detailed project plans, acquiring necessary resources, and monitoring progress and providing regular status reports to upper management Participate in the administration and maintenance of a diverse set of systems and applications

Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or equivalent job experience required Minimum 4-6 years experience that includes network design, technical engineering, operational support and hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, network analyzers, load balancers, wireless access points, network monitoring tools, and cabling in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment Proven, expert-level experience and proficiency with routers, switches, and firewalls, specifically Cisco 3750 and 2960 series switches and Cisco ASA5500 series firewall/VPN devices In-depth experience with Linux, Windows, and VMware ESX networking, DNS, High Availability Solutions, IDS/IPS and network monitoring applications Experience with network/operations management tools such as Nagios, SCOM, or Zenoss is a plus Geographic load balancing and WAN optimization experience is a plus Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong interest in tackling diverse technical problems Entrepreneurial drive, strategic thinker, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results on time
