Financial Operations Partner
Financial Operations Partner Purpose of Position: As part of the Monster Shared Service Center, the Financial Operations Partner is responsible to coordinate, lead and oversee the day to day work of a group of Accountants within the Monster Accounting Team. This will include ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of all financial information, as well as, progressing toward the accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the business. Essential Functions: This position will include several responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following: Month End Close/Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Journal entry preparation and posting Profit & Loss Analysis Review and approve account reconciliations Access appropriate accruals Review results relative to budget and forecast Complete a variety of SOX404 compliance requirements Special Projects/Process Improvements: Quarterly Audit Systems implementations Acquisitions/Integrations Process documentation Research and keep up to date with revised accounting pronouncements Oversees the day to day functions of a group of Accountants, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; assists in performance evaluations, motivates employees to peak productivity and performance. Ensures the general ledger is maintained and adjusted in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; all entries are properly posted and all accounts properly reconciled to assure the financial statements are representative of the business. Manages multiple projects in an effective and efficient manner. Will be a key participant in the quarterly and annual audit, as well as, the annual tax package. Must coordinate the flow of information between the accounting staff and the audit team/tax department. This is not an all-inclusive list. There will be various other special projects and duties that could be assigned depending upon business needs and the experience of the employee. Qualifications: BS in Accounting required, MBA or CPA preferred 5-7 years Accounting/Finance experience in a leadership role Ability to lead and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong Aptitude for financial systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in Oracle or major ERP system beneficial Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Can be trusted to keep sensitive information secure Work Environment/Physical Requirements Must be able to work longer hours during month end close.
