These are the foundations of how we do business with our members, as well as how we treat each other. USAA is currently seeking a talented Collector II for our Phoenix, AZ facility. As a Collector II for USAA, you will protect the financial interests of USAA by contacting members to collect and resolve early stage delinquency accounts for all products or lines of business for USAA. You will negotiate with member's to arrive at mutually satisfactory payment arrangements. Job duties: Contacts members via auto dialer or alternative method and solicits payments to cure account delinquency via all methods of payment. Recommends the proper account resolution when member is unable to pay with appropriate special program. Documents all collection efforts on appropriate system. Solicits Auto Pay or Bill Pay to prevent future delinquency. Seeks to retain members by promoting benefits of USAA. Works with other departments within USAA to service all of the member's issues. Handles incoming telephone inquiries and verifies account information such as address, home and work numbers. Qualified candidates need to possess: High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years' of customer service or financial service experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and applicable systems. Prolonged sitting. Experience working with FDR or/and Fidelity's collections systems. Good understanding of USAA's membership and mission. Must have ability to work: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Work Hours: M-F 10:30 am 8:00 pm & Sun 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Preferred experience includes: Previous collections or customer service experience. Auto dialer and/or FDR experience, knowledge of FDCPA. Desire to work with members to help resolve payment issues.
