Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Services

VIRGINIA FARM BUREAU is in search of a Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Services.  This position is responsible for all financial activities of multiple companies with total gross revenues of $320 million dollars.

 

Duties include preparation of financial reports and financial forecasting for all company affiliates as well as financial recommendations to executive management and the Board of Directors. This position reports to the Executive Vice President & General Manager, Insurance Operations.

 

Qualified candidates will have: CPA and/or Masters degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent10 years management and exempt level accounting experience in the insurance industry Prior experience handling Reinsurance strategiesExtensive knowledge of both Statutory and GAAP Accounting In-depth knowledge of the Insurance Code of Virginia.  Thorough knowledge of standard auditing practices and proceduresProven strategic focus and planning skillsProven analytical skills and the ability to interpret the most complex documentsExperience with company mergers and acquisitions preferred.Experience working with financial information in both not-for-profit as well as for-profit organizations
