Commercial Agri Account Manager
Description:Are you a commercial underwriter with farm/agriculture experience who likes to have fun while achieving serious goals? If so, this could be the opportunity you've waited for. As a member of our respected Commercial Agriculture team, you'll present Unigard's insurance products, services and strategy to a successful group of independent agents. You'll underwrite large and small accounts and manage the book of business to achieve production and loss ratio goals. You'll help the agents identify their needs, find solutions and help them to set achievable goals, all the while developing lasting relationships. As a result, you'll also develop a strong knowledge of market conditions. CAM's have truly become our "eyes and ears" as well as our voice in the agency community so there is never a dull day! CAM's are considered leaders and "go to" people, so they continue to build internal relationships in a manner that quickly develops trust across the company. They just have a commitment to doing the right thing and it shows. Unigard considers the CAM to be a mission crical role and makes sure they are supported. Back at the office there is an underwriting team to support the CAM with the underwriting details for their book.If this sounds like a job you'd enjoy, we hope you'll read on for the details.........Be responsible for the development and growth of profitable business within your territory by discussing risk selection and agency production with your agents. Evaluate, select and price policies for your agencies to achieve profit, growth, business mix, market/agency penetration and agency management objectives. Critically evaluate the potential of future commercial lines agriculture business opportunities. Provide service to your agents by responding to inquiries and resolving problems in a professional manner. Mentor less experienced underwriters by providing technical underwriting guidance. Lead or participate in team activities associated with the territory's book of business. Please read on for the details and application information...Qualifications:Progressively responsible commercial lines agri underwriting experience (likely 3 or more years) with a track record of success Comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of commercial lines agri underwriting and products Results oriented with business development, negotiation and customer service skills Ability to influence and create positive behaviors from others 4-year degree and/or equivalent experience and specialized property/casualty insurance education, (i.e., CPCU, IIA, CIC).
