Welcome to our search for a Reservations Manager!  This position is responsible for managing the reservations process for six of the seven Newport Hotel Group hotels.  This position is based out of the Holiday Inn Express property in Middletown, RI.  Visit our website at www.newporthotelgroup.com for more information on each of our newly renovated hotels.

 

The successful candidate will be energetic and pro-active.  The candidate will be committed to the success of the office and committed to the development of a solid dependable and skilled reservations team.  The candidate will be able to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships, manage all reservation sales activities to maximize revenue potential for properties and develop, implement and maintain quality standards for the Reservations Department.

Position Overview


* Manage Centralized Reservations Office: supervise the activity of 7-10 reservationists, supervise the processing of incoming phone calls ensuring all agents are following the established sales formula and strategy while providing courteous and professional customer service, and oversee daily reservations to be sure they are posted correctly, minimum stay requirements are met, and packages are quoted correctly.


*Yield Management Forecasting: track occupancy and advance reservations, lower/raise rates or minimum stay requirements as necessary, review occupancy reports, maintain and track pertinent statistics (i.e. length of stay by room type).


* Sales /Marketing/Promotions: manage group blocks, ensure blocks are picked up in a timely manner, create group packages, pick up group names, assist with deposits and final billing, respond to e-mail inquiries, create annual packages.


* Guest Relations: check reservations for long stays and previous guests, assist with refund processing to guests and ensure proper posting of folios.


*Training: set up regular training sessions for all reservationists and front desk clerks, conduct on-going training and create a detailed training manual.
