Receptionist

Position Description Summary

Responsible for greeting members/guests, answering the telephone, answering inquires, and providing the service that members expect. A certain amount of administrative tasks are also asked of this position to fill down periods.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

1. Answer phone, take reservations, and direct calls.

2. Greet and direct Members and guests to proper area by name when possible.

3 Make sure work area and reception area is kept neat and clean.

4. Each Member and Guest will be greeted upon arrival and Members called by name. Members and guests will be directed to the proper areas when necessary

5. Make complete and accurate reservations for Members for dining, athletics and tennis. 

6. Converse with Members and guests. Be outgoing and friendly, but professional. The receptionist will act as an extension of the Member Relations, Membership, and Private Event departments in obtaining prospective Member & Guest referrals. Guest cards will be completed for any walk-ins. Always obtain the name and phone number of the person requesting Member information so Membership Director or Private Event Director can follow-up.

Work Experience

Computer skills required. Good communication skills are a must.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.
