In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that Cracker Barrel's products are of the highest quality and the appropriate food safety standards are followed throughout the entire food supply chain. Principal accountabilities include developing and maintaining product specifications, QA processes and food safety programs and systems, managing supplier performance by conducting audits on supplier facilities, and overseeing product compliance audits on Cracker Barrel Old Country Store products. This position is also responsible for overseeing and investigating food quality and food safety issues as identified by restaurant operators or guests as well as supervising the efforts of Quality Assurance Technicians. Qualifications  Required: Bachelors' degree with 7-10 years Quality Assurance experience with 2 years restaurant experience with focus in Quality Assurance Knowledge of food safety regulatory requirements Knowledge of food safety systems, including GMP and HACCP Knowledge of Restaurant Operations Knowledge microbiology, epidemiology, chemistry, and environmental health Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food analytical evaluation skills Knowledge of sampling techniques Knowledge of distribution practices Analytical and problem solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Proficient computer skills Qualifications Preferred: Serv-Safe Food Safety Certification, Trainer Level or State Certification and AIB or similar course in Basic Food Processing Sanitation.
