Front Office & Reservation Manager
A hotel company is currently seeking an experienced Front Office & Reservation Manager. If you are someone who would love to be part of a unique opportunity, which embraces guest service, is energetic, efficient, friendly and a dynamic leader then we are looking for you.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, efficient front office & reservation departments while consistently motivating staff to ensure guest service goals are achieved.
2. Manage reservation call flow, reservations sales team, sales strategy and sales procedures. Also assist with internet activity and sales process
3. Provide direct sales support as needed for the company and establish hotel pricing levels and inventory management controls.
4. Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints received in person, through comment cards, reservations or via phone or email in a swift, professional and courteous manner.
5. Ensure staff is properly trained on systems at the front office and reservations departments and provide the tools and equipment required for staff to perform their job functions.
6. Routinely conduct tours of front office and reservations areas to ensure staff is properly following procedures and develop plans to correct deficiencies.
7. Conduct interviewing and hiring process of all front desk and reservation staff while following all company hiring procedures.
8. Monitor labor expenses through effective scheduling and ensure budgeted productivity.
9. Conduct monthly departmental meetings to ensure staff is properly informed on all hotel activities.
10. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing room status daily.
11. Monitor out-of-order, out-of-service room reports to properly manage sell out opportunities.
12. Have a working knowledge of Night Audit responsibilities and procedures.
13. Establish and maintain key control system.
14. Promote team work throughout the company by addressing issues and concerns immediately.
15. Perform any other additional duties deemed necessary by member of management.
- four-year college degree and/or minimum of 1-2 years equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster and promote a positive working environment.
- Excellent customer/guest service skills.
-Sound decision making ability based on general policies and procedures.
