OverviewAn ideal role for individuals with a passion for:*         learning key business concepts and considerations;*         applying broad business thinking to scope and manage value-add audit projects;*         leading teams (directly or indirectly) to deliver value-add audit results; *         helping organizations become more efficient and effective, and*         effectively managing relationships and communication to deliver relevant and valued results.This position would spend approximately 70% of their time on the Financial Reporting and Control Environment, including Sarbanes Oxley requirements. This would include all phases of oversight for Sox to ensure teams are adequately trained and deployed to ensure successful completion of Sox requirements and resolution of any deficiencies identified. The remaining 30% of the individual's time would be spent on special projects for the Accounting, Finance and Operations functions. Primary DutiesMaintain corporate-wide documentation that supports compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory requirements. Manage the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program, including participation in the testing of internal controls and tracking of issues and action plans globally Ensure that controls are documented, communicated, and operated in compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory requirements Assist in the development of sound recommendations to improve the control environmentEnsure consistent documentation efforts across business units Serve as the Corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and requirements Work with IT and Business Units to assist in the identification of weaknesses and the definition of solutions and corrective actions Analyze trends and issues with data collected and effectively communicate to appropriate personnel Support internal and external audit processes related to testing of internal controls Maintains awareness and addresses changing requirements from external factors (AS 5, IFRS, etc) as well as internal changes (resource changes, new process and initiatives)Assist in the development of IT internal controls strategies which address technical infrastructure, information security, and application controls Assist in the development and rollout of related internal controls and financial policies & procedures Develops, mentors and maintains an audit staff capable of accomplishing the responsibilities of the Business Assurance & Risk Services function.Work on any special projects as assigned by the VP and Director Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related degree.Professional certification required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).Seven years prior audit experience required including at least three years management experience.  *         Practical knowledge of processes, risks and internal controls.*         Thorough understanding of audit methodology and process (e.g., COSO and GAAS).*         PC proficiency in MSOffice applications (Excel, Word, etc.).  *         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.*         Ability to communicate succinctly and effectively with operating and executive management.*         Strong analytical, deductive and problem solving skills.*         Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.*         Understanding of technical accounting concepts (e.g., GAAP).*         Retail or restaurant operations experience a plus.Ability to travel up to 10%.
