The Optimum Health Institute (OHI), is a Mission of the Free Sacred Trinity Church (FSTC), a non-denominational Church which has been operating healing ministries since 1976.  At OHI’s San Diego and Austin holistic health centers, people of all traditions are welcome to participate in our program that promotes spiritual and physical healing by teaching ancient spiritual disciplines to align mind, body and spirit. Our program embraces the healing powers of meditation, spiritual belief, exercise and, our favorite, a raw vegan diet.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

 

We are looking for a natural leader with a strong background in maintenance management, someone who is detail oriented and loves working with their hands.  

 

Position Overview:

Our unique environment requires employees with a spiritual nature who align themselves with our Mission Values and Principles and who understand that as a 24/7 facility, there is a need to be open to a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings and some holidays. As Facilities Maintenance Manager, one needs to be responsible and accountable for managing all equipment, mechanical functions, building, guest rooms, pool and grounds while providing supervision and direction to the staff in landscaping and maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Manager performs daily tasks, assists with or completes planned projects and provides uncompromising customer service at all times. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Ensure that the facilities maintenance staff is properly trained in OHI’s Missions, Values and Principles, preventative maintenance and other skills pertaining to maintaining the Optimum Health Institute of Austin. 

·  Ensure that ongoing and effective communication to the Mission’s guests and adherents is maintained especially as relates to repairs and service that directly impact them during their stay.

·  Assure that service requests are managed and documented in timely manner.

·  Complete administrative tasks, including report writing, employee timecards and reviews, correspondence and budget management in a timely manner.

·  Monitor maintenance expenses adhering to budget constraints, prepared records related to work performed, supplies and materials used and documents on invoices and budget ledgers.

·  Prepares operational and capital budget annually.

·  Performs regular facility inspections, prepares operational reports and makes recommendations for corrective measures.

·  Oversee on room renovations and other special projects according to Project Management Best Practices.

·  Monitor responses to Service Request Calls.

·  Creates weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance schedules and ensures scheduled activities are performed in timely manner.

 

 

Qualifications:Minimum of ten (10) years or more of facilities maintenance experience in hotel, residential care or healthcare environment with knowledge of the physical plant and equipment. Minimum of five (5) years or more of supervisory experience.2-4 years of college education or equivalent technical school education is requiredMust have developed and implemented preventive maintenance programs for facilities, physical plant and equipment.

·  Experience required in the Supervision of a facilities and landscape of 3-5 people.

·  Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and MS project.
