As Director of Guest Services you will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of Front Desk Operations, Housekeeping/Laundry Operations and Security Operations at a hotel or conference center. You will be responsible for scheduling, budgeting, training, interviewing, cost containment, inventories, ordering, cash handling, analyzing data, forecasting, filing incident/accident reports, completing daily/weekly/monthly reports, developing the overall operation of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Developing the overall operation of the Front Desk Department assuring the highest degree of quality guest service is maintained at all times. Developing the overall operation of the Security Department assuring the highest degree of quality guest care and safety are maintained at all times. The Director of Guest Services is responsible for resolving all guest complaints and/or issues and overall customer service. The Director of Guest Services is responsible for developing the managers and front line staff on their team. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree (and/or requisite industry & management experience) as well as previous experience managing a team of housekeeping employees through motivation, coaching and development. The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask is essential to success in this role. Working knowledge of rooms management systems is preferred. Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction are required. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within Housekeeping department is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
