SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ANALYST LEAD

Job Description Imagine Yourself...

Being responsible to combine all individual Operating System interruptions/utilizations into one encompassing view.

Being responsible to monitor, measure, track, report and optimize on actual business/clinical application performance as experienced by end-users through the use of performance monitoring packaged applications.

Monitoring network components for utilization, capacity and change impact.

Evaluating and implementing monitoring systems to identify problems and alert technical staff.

Documenting installation and support the tools used to capture statistics/alerts. Define scripts and rules used to audit response time and utilization.

General Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical training degree with experience.
A minimum of 7 years experience in performance monitoring and scripting. Specific experience includes:
Automated Test Scripts; such as Compuware's Test Partner using Visual Basic Application
Performance Monitoring Tools; such as Concord's System Edge, Application Response and eHealth, Test Partner, BNC's Patrol, SAS, SNMP, Aprisma Specturum, SAS, Aprisma SLM, NSM, Insight manager.
Servers; such as Micrsoft SQL Server
Network; WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, servers, routers, bandwidth
Windows 2000, NT,
Detailed knowledge of multiple OS's, and network dependencies and design.
Demonstrated ability in trouble shooting skills.
Demonstrated statistical analysis skill.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in process simultaneously, set appropriate priorities, and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely fashion.
Must demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking, communication skills and ability to interact with all types of personalities.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools with minimal formal training.
Ability to interrupt highly technical analysis in non-technical terms for management reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
