RISK MANAGER, 1ST SHIFT
Responsible for hospital wide risk management services which includes: investigation of patient events, review of medical records for
liability issues, conducting risk management educational programs and medical/legal research as necessary. Responsible for management of professional liability claims as the hospital liaison.
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare and a minimum of five years progressive management experience. Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or JD preferred. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an approved School of Nursing preferred. Minimum experience of five year's risk management experience required. Certificate in Risk Management required. Competencies requested are medical terminology; ability to read, comprehend, preview regulations and health care information. Excellent communication skills for oral and written presentations. Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels. Knowledge of the legal system. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various departments and various levels of management as necessary. Strong analytical skills for medical and legal research.
