Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Emergency-Temporary

Job Description Imagine yourself working with this team…The Emergency Department at Aurora Sinia Medical Center is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in our highly collaborative and leading edge environment. Due to our commitment to shared decision-making, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, in association with a group of emergency physicians, assists in the triage and delivery of health care services and is responsible for the patient assessment, interpretation, diagnosis, and prescribing of appropriate medical and therapeutic measures.Imagine yourself…Learning to perform flawless medical screening exams of patients to determine if an emergent medical condition is present.Educating patients patients and helping to develop personalized plans of care; those without adequate follow-up gain access to local clinics/physicians.Providing medical care to acutely ill and injured patients in a diverse metropolitan environment.Performing complex and prolonged procedures such as laceration repair.Independently performing evaluation and treatment procedures necessary to provide an appropriate response to life-threatening emergency situations.

General Qualifications
Completion of a Physician Assistant program approved by the American Medical Association required.Must have previous clinical experience in assigned specialty.Ability to work as a member of a health care team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

Desired Qualifications
At least two years of emergency experience. Also will consider Nurse Practioner.
