ALL LANGUAGES ARE NEEDED – AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE, TOO! General requirements : • Flexible schedule
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Neat and professional appearance and demeanor
• Authorization to work in the US
• Cell phone
• Fax/internet connection Technical requirements : • Must have excellent English skills and be fully proficient in at least one other language.
• Must pass Vocalink Interpreter Pre-Screen and Language Assessment (including commonly used medical terminology)
• Must successfully complete VocaLink Training and Orientation Candidates should have some experinence with : Candidates should have some experience with helping two parties communicate when each speaks a different language. Candidates should also be familiar with a hospital/medical environment and understand and be able to utilize medical terms and phrases in all the languages he/she works in. Hiring Process: 1. Submit your resume/cv via email. In the subject line, include best jobs3k.com, your name, and all the languages in which you work.
2. Upon resume/cv approval, Vocalink personnel will call candidated for a phone interview and language assessment (including commonly used medical terminology). Those candidates that do not pass the language assessment may re-test in 60 days.
3. Upon passing of phone interview and language assessment, candidate must meet compliance requirements which includes a background check, drug screen, and certain paperwork.
4. Once compliance requirements have been met, candidate is invited to Vocalink Interpreter Training and Orientation.
5. Successful completion of interpreter training and orientation will result in probationary interpreter status.
