MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST II, 1ST SHIFT

Performs routine radiology procedures.

One to two years at a university, community college, college, business school, trade or technical school. Certified through the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist. Certified through the ARRT as a mammography technologist RT (RM). Forty hours of training specific to mammography or 1 year experience in performing mammography. Additional training in breast ultrasound. Knowledge in general radiologic technology and specialized mammography and ultrasound technology. Ability to use electronic test equipment. Ability to use x-ray equipment including view boxes, and processors. Ability to use general medical equipment (needles, bandages, etc). Direct and listen to patients during performance of exams. Understand and follow instructions, routine procedures and protocols. Assimilate new procedures into work routine. Effective interpersonal skills.
