We are currently engaged in a direct hire/full time search for AWAC, LLC, based in Augusta, Georgia and a wholly owned subsidiary of inVentiv Health. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Director of Case Management in Augusta, GA.
AWAC, LLC is a unique medical consulting and cost containment firm working for ERISA self-funded health plans, employer groups, third party administrators, Managing General Underwriters and carriers across the country. Responsibilities:
The Director of Case Management within iCare leads a multidisciplinary team of Case Managers that coordinate the care and resource utilization of patients with complex and chronic illness. This individual serves as an expert on both Utilization and Case Management within the iCare team. In addition, the Director oversees the Case Management process and insures the correct use of protocols that guide care delivery based on the research and evaluation of patient outcomes. The Director guides the iCare Management staff in identifying and implementing cost containment measures and implementing interventions that will enhance a patients’ quality of care. A primary objective of this position is to create a heightened awareness of excellence and motivate staff to achieve the highest standards of care.

· Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in Case Management.
· Minimum 3 years management experience that includes supervising staff & managing projects/processes
Preferred:
Clinical background. Previous Utilization Review and/or Claims Review experience

· Working knowledge of health insurance plans, insurance terminology.
· Able to interpret and apply health insurance terminology and practices.
· Familiarity with diagnostic coding and billing practices in the medical setting.
· Strong business acumen.
