Our caregivers combine critical thinking, communication, expert clinical skills and compassion to care for terminally ill patients and their families during one of the most important phases of their lives.VITAS is looking for dedicated professional staff to join our dynamic team of nurses, doctors, social workers, chaplains, and home health aides who want to make a significant impact.We are seeking chaplain candidates for our Milwaukee program to service patients and families. The qualified candidate will be responsible for visiting patients and families to provide pastoral care as determined by spiritual assessment and the interdisciplinary care plan; will act as a liaison between patients and families, local clergy, and the hospice interdisciplinary team, and will conduct funerals and bereavement group activities as well as document all services provided.Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, a Master's in Divinity(or equivalent from an accredited seminary or theological school) and Ordination(in some cases Commissioning) to minister in pastoral care;proper endorsement of good standing with his/her faith body, and a minimum of one(1) unit (400 hours) of CPE accredited study, as well as demonstrated competence working with spiritual dynamics of illness, loss, and death.VITAS offers a competitive salary and generous benefit package.
