THE ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, an equal opportunity employer, announces recruitment for a Tuscaloosa County Assistant Veterans Service Officer.
To qualify for this position, the applicant must be a resident of and qualified voter in Tuscaloosa County as well as an honorably discharged veteran with a minimum of 60 days active military service in a wartime period.
Key responsibilities and duties include advising all county organizations on veterans programs and assisting all county veterans and their eligible dependents in obtaining all state and federal benefits to which they are entitled as well as other activities as directed by the District Manager and Commissioner.
