POSITION DESCRIPTION – Essential Job Functions:
This position reports to the Chief of Tactical Integration and the Project Integration Team Lead. The primary initial duties of the Project Integration Team will be the responsibility of leading the workflow management of IT/IS Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Non-Standard Change Requests (CRs). The function is currently performed by chairing a weekly meeting with IT/IS ECP Project Managers and keys IT/IS Mission Elements to prioritize, facilitate, monitor and track the progress of Change Requests. This function follows the Change Request from inception to implementation and reports this status weekly to the IT/IS Technical Engineering Review Board (ERB). The position will facilitate proactive management and coordination with the Project Manager of the ECP to ensure timely completion and implementation of the Change Request and associated Engineering Orders. The ideal candidate must possess good telephone etiquette and communication skills.
Additionally, the position will be responsible for development, management and maintenance of a Engineering Operations Requirements Division web portals to essential information maintained an a repository.
Duties and qualifications, identifying both essential and marginal duties:
Lead the IT/IS ECP Non-Standard Change Request meeting on a weekly basis.Provide meeting minutes and update the prioritization spreadsheet for all ECP Non-Standard Change Requests. Assist ECP Project Managers in gaining approvals and bring to fruition all ECP related Non-Standard Change Requests.Define requirements to obtain Web Development work to support the repository for all artifacts supporting the Engineering Operations Requirements Division.Maintain and Enhance the:Engineering Order Web PageTechnical Assessment Web PageCircuit Acquisition Web Page
Maintain and Enhance the Engineering Artifact Repository – Library to provide rapid access to all contract related:Bills of MaterialsTransmission Service Requests/Transmission Service Orders/Status of Acquisition Messages from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Request for Change AssessmentsEngineering Change Proposal Technical VolumesProcurement Status of GFE and Circuits acquisitionsBudgetary EstimatesRequires knowledge of Web Development.Ability to perform tasks in a timely and accurate manner.Ability to function well in a rapidly changing environment with minimal direct supervision.Proficiency in oral and written communications.
Physical Requirements: Good visual acuity and manual dexterity (works on a computer).Above average communicative skills are essential. Must be able to communicate by phone and in person with customers.Must be able to prepare briefings for presentation to Senior Managers and NGA representatives.Must be able to provide oral presentations as required.Limited travel required.
Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
Required:Requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Information Technology field, or Masters in an Information Technology field and 3 years experience. Must be a self-starter and able to operate independently within a broad scope of authority and with minimal supervision.Good technical analysis skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.Good oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.Skill in interpreting and explaining a variety of project integration procedures and coordinating plans and programs with a variety of related duties.
Desirable:Knowledge of NSGI systems and NGA's infrastructure is highly desirable.Knowledge of WAN/LAN architectures and associated network devices is desirableCurrent IA Certification highly desired
