Senior Systems Support Analyst - Integration
Under the general direction of the Manager and the daily supervision of the Critical Systems Lead for the Corporate Systems department, provides daily maintenance and technical support for integration services between our various application systems. Maintains supported application systems by coordinating routine maintenance, software installations, upgrades and configurations. Collaborate with IT counterparts, other internal business units and outside vendors to analyze and resolve application system issues. Provides 24x7 on-call production support as required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides daily maintenance and technical support activities associated to the operations of application systems assigned to the department
- Provides 24x7 production support as assigned in an on-call rotation and in compliance with Service Level Agreements and Customer Support Plans related to application systems assigned to the department
- Coordinates IT response and resolution to systems failures and related issues including root cause analysis
- Provides technical guidance, troubleshooting and perform corrective actions to ensure a high degree of systems availability, reliability and security
- Prepares and maintains related systems support documentation in compliance with industry and corporate standards
- Coordinates and deploys approved production-ready applications into production environment
- Ensures successful transition of system solutions to ongoing operational maintenance and support including appropriate hand-off of intellectual and technical capital
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Level of Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training or experience
Discipline
- Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
Amount of Experience
- 7 or more years of related experience
Type of Experience
- Computer and software systems support
- SONIC experience – preferred
- Software system and integration development lifecycle
- Web Service Experience (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSD, UDDI) - required
- Experience with JBoss Application server - highly desirable
- Experience with J2EE (EJBs, Servlets, JMS, etc) - desirable
- Experience with Object Oriented design and UML - desirable
- UNIX Systems Administration and shell programming - desirable
- Java and Delphi based application development - desirable
- Experience with N-tier architecture application systems using object-oriented technologies - desirable
- Experience using Mercury Quality center tools - desirable
Special Certifications of Technical Skills
- Understanding of client server computer systems operations and relational database design and functionality
Other Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- Effective ability to work in a diverse team environment
