The Mission Electronics area exploits state-of-the-art infrared, millimeter-wave, and laser technologies to design and fabricate missile seekers, guided munitions, and target designators. The Infrared Imaging systems area produces uncooled IR sensors and related systems for defense, civil and commercial applications. The area has three primary segments: military ground imaging systems, surveillance sensors/systems, and commercial/industrial subsystems. The Sensor Integration area produces robust, highly integrated, mission-critical equipment for detection, situational awareness, and protection for U.S. and allied military forces and homeland security personnel. Key product areas include mine countermeasures, countermeasure dispensers, laser warning systems, and unattended ground sensors. The Flight systems business area provides military and commercial aircraft modification and upgrades, aircraft operations, flight test, and aerial subscale and full-scale targets. BAE Systems, Advanced Technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Digital Signal Processing SW Engineer to research, analyze, design, and implement an assortment of specialized DSP functions for software processing systems. Typical processing blocks include demodulators, modulators, channel characterizers, power spectral density estimators, communications detection and classification algorithms, spread spectrum demodulators, parametric detection and estimation methods, and data mining procedures. Adept software skills are required, and experience with Linux operating system internals is desired. Candidates with experience in embedded implementation are of particular interest. 1. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field including formal education in Computer and Software Technology or its equivalent and a minimum of twelve (12) years work experience; or a Master's Degree and ten (10) years experience; or a Ph.D. with seven (7) years experience. 2. 4-8 years of signal processing, communications, and algorithm development related work experience. 3. 4-8 years of software development experience working independently or in a small team environment. 1. Software development experience using C++, JAVA, Python and Matlab. 2. Embedded systems development using DSP processors, microcontrollers, and/or FPGA processors. 3. Active TS/SCI clearance.
