Battelle Crystal City Operations (BCCO) provides defense systems, products and "turn-key" capabilities to its government and industry clients in the areas of counter terrorism, counter proliferation, force protection, domestic preparedness and civil support, critical infrastructure protection, and law enforcement. Within the National Security Division and Scientific and Technical Services Product Line, BCCO specializes in addressing the complex challenges of national security. Our core competencies include acquisition management, resource management, strategic planning, studies and analysis, awareness, training, and education support in the Washington, DC area and elsewhere. Battelle Crystal City Operations is seeking a Researcher for full-time work in our Arlington, VA Office. Compensation will be based on relevant qualifications and experience. Relocation support is not available Position Responsibilities: The selected candidate will support program and project leaders in preparation, analysis and review of documentation for a broad range of counter terrorism programs. Responsibilities will include the preparation of reports, research and analysis, support of research and development and testing and evaluation projects. The selected candidate will contribute to several interagency counter terrorism programs in the areas of operational analyses, agro-terrorism, training aid development, irregular warfare and technology development programs. Required Qualifications: - BS degree. - At least three years of professional experience, at least one year with DOD programs. - Familiarity with the DOD contracting process, contract types and subcontracting. - Ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures within field of specialization. - Ability to prioritize and perform tasks in a timely manner, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and independently develop solutions to problems. - Manage assigned tasks on projects with responsibility for budget and schedule compliance. - Excellent analytical and research capabilities. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in coordinating with interagency clients and preparing written reports or other documentation for technical, operational and policy clients. - Ability to work in a team environment, eagerness to take on challenges, and motivation to actively seek assignments. - Prepare written proposals and reports of work. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and capabilities. - Ability to obtain and maintain at least a SECRET security clearance.
