Public Sector Management Consultant

We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a full-time Associate or Senior Assocate Consultant.

NewPoint Group currently has an innovative 9/80 work schedule which compresses 80 hours of work, over a two-week period, from 10 days into 9 days. This alternative work schedule gives employees alternating Fridays off, thus providing 26, three-day weekends each year. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing written proposals and engagement work plans Develop and maintain relationships with clients Collect and analyze background documents and research best practices Interview and facilitate meetings with client staff and stakeholders Document current processes, workload, staffing, technology systems, and costs Identify and document potential performance improvement initiatives, new business processes, and requirements for new technology systems Develop improvement portfolios and related implementation plans Prepare draft and final reports and related presentations.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree, MBA or MPA preferred, from an accredited university Quantitative, science, or engineering undergraduate degree a plus 5 years consulting experience, with State of California or other public sector clients a plus Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills A track record of producing high-quality work products on-time and within budget Ability to be flexible and to learn quickly about different client programs Ability to work independently and contribute as a member of the project team.
