Proposal Specialist
TESSADA, a growing government contractor, Headquartered in Springfield, VA, has an immediate opening for a Proposal Specialist.
Responsibilities include:
o Actively participate in creating written proposals, presentations, interactive marketing and pitch materials for a variety of new business projects.
o Analyze, develop and edit proposals and presentations under aggressive deadlines to deliver client-focused materials; and strategic review and proofreading for proposals/pitches being led by other team members.
o Design, produce, and import computer-generated graphics, charts, tables, multi-media graphics and covers; format graphics/text for inclusion into proposal document; and assemble final document.
o The production of marketing materials, media kits, press releases and the quarterly newsletter; participate in the development of website content and messaging; and order marketing products for tradeshows and MARCOM events.
Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
o 5 years of experience in marketing, business development and/or communications with at least three years of experience in principles and practices of pitch/proposal efforts and have served as a proposal specialist or technical writer, preferably for a professional services firm or government contractor.
o Strong attention to detail is essential.
o Strong organizational, project management and presentation skills.
o The ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient computer user—must have advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator or other graphics applications.
