The position is a metrics analyst and process improvement team member within the Process Improvement Program. Metrics analysis and modeling will comprise approximately seventy-five percent of the work, while the remaining tasking will involve supporitng process development and deployment. This includes: leading and menotring organizational quantitative management and optimization teams; institutionalizing the processes at the Organization and Project level; participating in causal analysis activities; performing complex statistical analyses; applying knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving models; developing performance baselines and models for Organizational and Project processes; leading development and deployment of Lean, CMMI, and Six-sigma initiatives in collaboration with engineering leaders to manage, maintain, and improve engineering processes and process scorecards; participating on cross-functional teams that design, develop, and deploy processes that further the key business objectives of the organization; working with engineering programs to institutionalize processes on the projects; developing and conducting training courses; assisting projects in preparing for internal and external appraisals; developing and updating process related documentation; and performing other duties as assigned associated with the overall Process Improvement Program. Ideal candidate will possess the following: excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interface, coordinate, and negotiate with company personnel, customers, and suppliers; sound decision making skills; experience leading causal analysis activities; excellent measurement/metrics analysis ability; good organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; excellent multi-tasking skills; and ability to act as a change agent representing the Process Improvement Program;. A plus would be familiarity with applicable, relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9000, CMMI, Lean, Six-Sigma). Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong experience using Excel and Access. Knowledge of computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware. Experience with quantitative management techniques (eg; statistical process control), database design and development, collaboration tools. Experience with creating presentation materials for senior management; and development and delivery of training classes. Experience with designing and deploying quantitative management programs. Education: Bachelors degree in Math, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related technology, or equivalent experience.
