Stanley is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead a team of mechanical designer’s aide structural analysis in support of a missile system development programs. Duties include design integration into existing missile airframes, missile packaging, loads development and analysis, CAD model development, and design data package development. May also include support equipment development for missile test and handling. Design of hardware to meet requirements of specific internal and customer focused R&D programs. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years directly related work experience in Mechanical Engineering required.Additional Requirements:• Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment. • Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required. • Ability to travel up to 25% or less. • Technical support to U.S. Military weapon systems. • Previous engineering support of a military tactical missile system • Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; US citizenship required. • Use of Microsoft Office Suite. • Proficient in Excel and Power Point. • Past experience in current/modern CAD system such as Solidworks. • CAD experience required. • Individual must be able to formulate concepts and solutions with a demonstrated ability to complete complex projects • Personnel should have some understanding of Rapid Prototyping techniques Preferred Skills:• Experience in tactical missiles is required and launch vehicle design desired. • Analysis experience with multi-physics environments is a plus. • Solid works heavily preferred • Experience in areas of military research, development and acquisition programs is a plus. • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL 35809 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Relevant Work Experience: 7+ to 10 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
