Lessons Learned Analyst/Pre-Deployment Training Developer Job Description/Duties: SAIC is currently accepting resumes from experienced, qualified individuals to support the U. S. Marine Corps Training & Education Command (TECOM) in the collection, assessment, and application of lessons learned data from current military operations and training. Duties and responsibilities include: Coordination and application of developed standards across multiple training continuums and development and integration of standards applicable to the Marine Corps Predeployment Training Program. Identifying Common Skills and Tasks within the current operating environment and providing coordination, development, and sustainment of Task Standards with the appropriate TECOM Predeployment Training venues, Centers of Excellence, Schools, Commands, subject-matter experts, and the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned. Coordination with multiple agencies throughout the Marine Corps and other services in order to identify best practices, techniques, and training solutions for incorporation in predeployment training. Anticipating and prioritizing follow-on force training requirements. Qualifications/Experience: Recent command and/or staff experience as a U. S. Marine in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom at the battalion level or below is essential. Applicant must be a subject-matter expert in ground combat or logistics operations with extensive experience in the Marine Corps Predeployment Training Program as a trainer and/or by having attended the Predeployment Training Program evaluation exercise “Mojave Viper.” Experience on the staff at the Tactical Training Exercise Control Group, 29 Palms with exercise/training development and evaluation is a definite plus. Experience should demonstrate expertise in counterinsurgency operations in order to analyze current trends, threats, and opportunities within CENTCOM AOR Demonstrated experience should illustrate the ability to analyze current combat operations in order to identify causes of pre-deployment training gaps and potential solutions. Multi-discipline qualifications should include organizational level conventional and unconventional war fighting tactics, operations, and training. Experience with the Marine Corps Systems Approach to Training, Training and Readiness Manuals, training development, and the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned is critical. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience in tracking information through complex staffing processes. Capability to employ Microsoft Office products and ability to effectively use web-based lessons learned tools, search engine and database tools, and other automated systems. Education: Must have a Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Advanced education (e.g., graduate of Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School or Command and Staff College) is considered to be a plus. Job Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
