Information Assurance Analyst II

The Systems Engineering Group (SEG) of QinetiQ North America provides high-value engineering, software solutions, logistics information management, flight training and IT technical support services to the U.S. Department of Defense, allied governments and select commercial partners.

ISSE II staff translates customer security requirements into hardware and software specifications. Will work with the design, development, and test support teams. Requires demonstrated knowledge of multiple information security and information systems security engineering disciplines and the system acquisition and development life cycle. Should have knowledge and experience in systems engineering as applied to information assurance as defined by the National Security Agency in at least one area: Discover Information Protection Needs, Define System Security Requirements, Design System Security Architecture, Develop Detailed Security Design, Implement System Security, and Assess Information Protection Effectiveness. Should have knowledge and experience in assessment and documentation of information security risk as part of a formal certification and accreditation process using DCID 6/3, DITSCAP, DIACAP, NIACAP, and/or NIST 800-37. The employee should continue to establish proficiency as a mid-level engineer and prepare for increased responsibility as a senior engineer (ISSE III). ''Current or within scope DoD Secret Security clearance required.''QualificationsRequires a Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in certification and accreditation of information systems.Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.
