Finance & Accounting Analyst

The Silver Eagle Group is currently accepting applications for a seasoned Finance and Accounting Analyst.  The person will be responsible for the Finance and Accounting function.  This hands-on role has the potential for growth and upward movement.  This position requires someone with a minimum of five years experience and a four year degree in accounting or finance.  Additionally, strong Excel skills are required.  Experience in public accounting and a CPA are a plus!

Qualified candidate will be responsible for:Preparation of monthly financial statements for legal entity(ies) including all JE’s & balance sheet reconciliationsResponsible for the General LedgerPrepare Bank Reconciliation Maintenance of Fixed Asset Walks and depreciation schedulesAudit file maintenanceTimely filing of Franchise, Personal Property, BPOL tax filings and Sales/Use tax returnsMaintain schedule of tax filing due datesVariance analysis researchManagement of annual third party financial auditModel and track various financials statements and forecasts utilizing ExcelManagement of payroll processSpecial projects as assigned

 

Qualified candidates will have:

· B.S. degree in accounting or finance plus five years accounting experience

·  CPA and public accounting experience is a plus

 

Desired skills and experience:Knowledge  and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), audit and internal controls

· Proficient in PC software, including Windows, Outlook, Word and intermediate to advance Excel skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracyGood organizational skills and written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be flexible and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines Must be a self starterStrong interpersonal skills suitable for interacting with various departments
