Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration: 5+ to 7 Years Reference Code: 1001147173 Data Warehouse Business Analyst with PM experience Description:We are seeking a Data Warehouse Business Analyst with PM experience to gather information about data from a transactional system that will be populating a data warehouse. This person will be responsible for some assistant PM duties including maintaining a project plan and taking meeting minutes. This project is highly visible and complex and requires a team member that is willing to step up to the challenge of a large rollout with multiple users. Major Duties and Responsibilities Work with another DW Business Analyst to schedule, lead and record meetings with departments. Gather specific information from various departments about transactional source systems and how they will populate the data warehouse. Update the business requirements document and update portions of the data analyst document. Work closely with the DW Business Analyst and the DW Data Analyst to complete all needed documentation. Assist the Project Manager in leading the weekly Data Warehouse team meeting. Update and maintain the project plan. Take meeting minutes for all meetings attended and post on the SharePoint portal. Requirements (knowledge, skills, abilities) Strong knowledge, skill, and experience associated with analysis of business processes, including full life-cycle project development methodology. Strong analytical ability, including the ability to absorb difficult and obscure concepts and convert these concepts into specific requirements definitions. Ability to perform to stated deadlines and to produce expected results with little supervision. Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communication skills Ability and skills to operate successfully in a strong team environment Expert skills in use of MS-Office software, especially MS Word, MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint. Some experience with SharePoint preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computers, IT/IS or Business Business analyst experience of 5 years or more Data warehouse experience of 2 years or more Project Management experience (as part of the Business Analyst duties) of 2 years or more – including experience creating and maintaining project plans in MS Project, taking meeting minutes and creating agendas for meetings.
