Description:
The incumbent shall provide Acquisition support to the Client to include recommendations for acquisition policy development and implementation, contracting expertise and any other acquisition program assistance necessary to carry out the Agency's acquisition mission.
· Provide Acquisition knowledge and contracting expertise. Provide direct support to Client for all contractual activities associated with pre- and post-contract awards.
· Actively participate in Acquisition Strategy and acquisition planning meetings.
· Assist in the development and/or review of contractual documents to include: Acquisition Plans, Statements of Work (SOW), Justifications and Authorizations (for Sole Source Acquisitions), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Source Selection Plans and other related acquisition documents.
· Assist in the review and finalize all contractual documents to be sent to contracting activity for processing.
· Act as primary interface with contracting activity for all contracting support (cradle to grave).
· Provide expertise for recommendations of acquisition policy development and implementation guidance for policies developed.
Provide direct support to Business Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and Contracting Officers Representative (COR's) for contract administration support.
Specific Knowledge Requirements:
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and federal pricing practices
Desired Qualifications:
· Mid-level career of 5+ years of relevant experience in government contracting environment
· DAWIA Level 2 is required
· Proficient in a Windows environment of Excel, Word and Power Point
· Demonstrate verbal and written communications, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical skills and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently or as a team
· Ability to work on multiple projects and assess priority while maintaining attention to detail
· Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate reporting in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
· Excellent people skills and positive attitude.
Education Needed:
BA in Business preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
