ACCOUNT CLERKS - Full and Part-Time

Several outstanding opportunities are available with the City of Burbank, a thriving community in southern California’s world-class media center. We’re seeking qualified individuals to perform technical governmental and proprietary fund accounting; perform treasury functions, purchasing, payroll, fixed assets, and accounts payable; and other related work as required.  
 
These challenging positions require two years of recent experience in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, treasury operations, or other financial applications; PC proficiency including using spreadsheets and word processing programs; the ability to learn and explain various financial and other related policies and procedures; strong communications skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public; and the ability to type 30 net words per minute (a verifiable typing certificate obtained within the last year must accompany application).  A valid California Class “C” driver’s license or equivalent may be required at time of hire.  NOTE: An Associate Degree may be substituted for one year of experience or a Bachelor Degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

We offer a starting salary of $3,193 to $3,987 per month ($18.42 - $23.00 per hour) plus superb benefits (based on hours worked) including a City-contributed retirement plan, cafeteria-style health benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
