Visit www.Salsaritas.com for further info.General Manager and Catering Manager Job Description, Responsibilities & BenefitsThe General Manager and Catering Manager are the leaders of the store, and set the energy level and demeanor of the staff. Managers treat each customer as an owner and each employee as a guest. They must be the hardest working people in the restaurant, have great attention to detail; and the ability to oversee all the different areas of the operation.
General Manager Responsibilities• Hire, train and coach employees on quality, systems and guest service standards• Learn, demonstrate and teach all recipes, prep procedures and line functions • Ability to lead by motivating through communication and HANDS-ON management style• Control the execution of the line to ensure fresh, hot food quickly, and within the expected guidelines of a 5–6 minute guest experience
• Write a staff schedule that falls within guidelines and according to business needs and labor budgets; plan ahead to ensure no shortages • Place weekly food, beverage and supply orders
• Conduct monthly inventory and implement systems to maintain food cost controls
• Follow checklists to ensure speed, accuracy, cleanliness and organization• Address all guest complaints with high sense of urgency• Assist with prep, set–up and clean-up of the store. Work a position as needed, always during busy times• Oversee catering manager to grow this side of the business
• Deliver catering orders as needed or required
Catering Manager Responsibilities• Train and coach employees on quality, systems and guest service standards• Learn, demonstrate and teach all recipes, prep procedures and catering functions • Ability to lead by motivating through communication and HANDS-ON management style• Assist General Manager with placing food, beverage and supply orders
• Follow checklists to ensure speed, accuracy, cleanliness and organization• Address all catering inquires with high sense of urgency• Assist with prep, set–up and clean-up of the store. Work a position as needed, always during busy times• Implement catering and marketing plans, set sales goals and objectives with owner• Solicit new business, market Salsarita's to the local community and develop new markets for the catering program
• Conduct daily call-backs with all catering orders to insure client satisfaction and to obtain future orders
• Maintain client database, create catering prep sheets, generate accurate customer invoices• Deliver and coordinate deliveries of catering orders
Requirements • Previous restaurant management experience required • Ability to interview, hire, train and develop all staff members and hold them accountable • Food ordering, food cost and labor control, inventories and profit and loss knowledge • Ability to develop and implement plans for sales growth • Exceptional customer service • Knowledge of catering and bar operations is a plus • Fast food or fast casual experience a plus • 50-55 hours average per week • 5 - 6 day workweek. • Will work open and closing shifts according to business needs • Must work when owner is not available • Schedule flexibility is expected • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and transportation Compensation Managers are paid a salary plus are eligible to receive quarterly bonuses. The bonus system rewards goal obtainment, results and adherence to quality standards.
