Economic Analyst

Assist in forecasting and track dairy commodity pricing and Federal Order class prices. Track inventories, demand, imports, exports and farm production. Support efforts to educate Dean employees on the effects of regulation. Track results of hedge transactions and opportunities for customers and maintain and analyze hedge positions and on-going strategies. Execute trades for approved strategies Analyze positions for action at federal and state hearings Work with Market Administrators and plants when situations arise. Work with dairy.com to ensure the correct powder procurement prices and vendors and inform plants of price and vendor changes. Work with regional staff to track powder purchases and track actual  against predicted purchases. Represent and promote Dean’s position at industry forums and discussions. Support and communicate with plants regarding analysis duties and knowledge of market. Work to instill the One Dean Team philosophy in all interactions.
