Director, Operations/Supply Chain (Dallas)

Is accountable for directing the production of a multi-plant division to meet short- and long-range divisional objectives with optimum efficiency.  Maintains liaison with finance, distribution, marketing, sales, quality control, purchasing, safety, environmental, and other departments in order to coordinate all phases of operations and provide optimum services. Reviews operating results, evaluates progress at each plant, and controls expenses related to budgets and inventory capital. Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Operations and participate in the target setting process for Supply Chain that generate substantial improvements, with a goal to exceed KPI targets.  Implement Continuous Improvement to generate improvement plans that feature both short and long-term improvements, with and without capital investment. Drive key initiatives throughout the region in the areas of Quality, Safety, Sustainability, Cost, and Service through Continuous Improvement Management Operating Systems. Determines long- and short-range requirements of personnel, material and facilities to meet sales demands and optimal network optimization. Directs and reviews operating results, evaluates progress at each plant, and controls expenses related to budgets and inventory capital. Supervise, coach and develop team. Manage group budget and expenses. Participates in strategy and tactics for labor relations (both union and non-union).  Align with and support other corporate staff functions in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term plans to meet business objectives. Drive consistence and standardization through out Supply Chain.
