Area Sales Manager

 

Gidden Distributing, Inc. is a locally owned beer distributor, with annual sales of 30 million dollars.  Some of the major breweries we represent in the market area include Miller, Coors, Crown (Corona), Smirnoff, Pabst, Heineken, Femsa (Dos Equis) and many more!!  Our market area includes Bell, Coryell, Milam and Hamilton counties.  We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager.

 

Job Overview:

Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the Company's revenue and booking quota for assigned region. Responsible for hiring, training, developing and managing a successful team of Sales Representatives that consistently exceeds annual revenue quota for the assigned region. Responsible for regional sales account management and customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Training required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent Communication and Organization Skills Five plus (5+) years of Successful Beverage Industry Sales  Experience; DSD  Sales Management Experience preferred 

 

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrated ability to ensure staff sells profitably by managing sales territory to ensure that sales objectives are met Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement a successful sales process that generates revenue. Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Critical Performance Competencies: Leads by example by providing a strong and positive role model Adjust to new, different, or changing requirements

Responsibilities:

  Directs the activities of Sales Representatives within assigned region to ensure that company revenue goals and objectives are exceeded. Establishes department measurements to manage and report progress toward revenue plan goals. Coaches and mentors assigned Sales Representatives to develop their skill and knowledge of Gidden Distributing, Inc. products and sales techniques. Establishes and maintains processes that generate strong customer satisfaction Provides constant feedback to sales management on the territory environment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Ensures that all company vehicles are used within company guidelines.
