Saunders and Benson, Inc. is an independent Property & Casualty  insurance agency, well established in the Richmond area for over 50 years. We are seeking an experienced and energetic personal lines Customer Service Representative who values the ideals of teamwork and dependability.

 

Applicants for this position must find satisfaction in having a positive and proactive attitude in the work setting. Adaptability is essential as our agency continues to grow and seek new challenges. At least 5 years experience within personal lines is preferred. Current P & C license is required.

 

Responsibilities include the following: Remain knowledgeable and updated on all Personal Lines Insurance products and guidelines Service customers within the personal lines book of business; quote and write new accounts, as well as implement changes to existing policies Cross-sell other lines of business within accounts Obtain quotes from carriers, and service accounts via internet and various software programs Answer telephones promptly and courteously Provide answers to billing and policy coverage questions in professional and friendly manner  Follow up with voicemail messages and customers’ needs in a timely manner Complete proper computer documentation of all correspondence, calls and activities Maintain customer files properly and in accordance to agency and company policy and procedure Become proficient with agency management system Maintain good relationships with company personnel and underwriters Attend agency and company meetings and other educational opportunities as required.
