Network Engineer

Newtek Business Services, a national provider of business and financial services has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer. We are looking for a person who can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment while working closely with the CIO and CTO, employees, customers and vendors. This person will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze and maintain networks.

 Job Duties will include but are not limited to: Configure, test and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks Provide pre and post sale technical support Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations Responsible for company Windows and Linux based systems including business applications, anti-virus protection and email support Daily maintenance and problem solving of operating systems, patches, software upgrades and routine hardware configuration

 Qualified candidate must have hands on experience in the following areas: implementing and administrating network devices as well as setting and maintain policies and rights/security within a Windows Server environment VOIP – Intertel Firewall Adtran, HP and Dell network switches Cisco routers   Sonicwall router and VPN Wireless Access Points Windows Server 2000/2003 active director   Desktop and laptop installation and problem resolution in Windows XP Providing customer support to internal employee and external customers
