MEDICAL HEALTH INSURANCE SPECIALIST

 

 

Benefit Recovery is currently searching for an outgoing, self-starting mult-tasker for health insurance collection and patient marketing. The position is at Maxwell Air Force Base AL . Candidates must be computer literate and have medical insurance verification experience. Health Insurance Specialists assist customers, verify other billable health insurance from the military retirees and dependents that utilize the Air Force Base hospital, Base clinics and satellite pharmacies, and enter information into the database. Candidates must be able to type at least 35 wpm and operate a personal computer. Good verbal, mathematical and communication skills are essential. Experience in the customer service field is a must. A Health Insurance Specialist must have the ability to communicate effectively with a positive attitude and pleasant voice during interaction with colleagues, hospital staff, patients, public, physicians and their staff, and third party insurance personnel. Must have a clear credit background and be able to pass a background check and credit check.

 

Benefit Recovery is a Houston based, fast growing company that has been in operation since 1992.  We have 32 locations in 20 different states with corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.  Our clients consist of commercial hospitals, hospital corporations, Veteran’s Administration medical centers, and the United States Air Force.  The main business operation at conception was and still is geared toward the recovery of denied hospital claims from health insurance carriers.  We also offer our clients services such as insurance verification, pre-registration, and outpatient billing.
