Position Description:Locations: Richmond, VA; Lynchburg, VA; Raleigh, NC; London, England; Shannon, Ireland; Quebec, Canada; Sydney, AustraliaMajors: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, CIS, MIS, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Sciences/TechnologyMinimum GPA: 3.0/4.0Hiring For: January 2009 or July 2009Summary: The Genworth Financial Information Technology Development Program is an entry-level IT development program designed to recruit and retain high potential candidates in an effort to develop a pipeline of information technology leaders to support Genworth Financial's dynamic growth environment. The program runs 24 months with 4 rotational assignments, coupled with intense graduate-level learning opportunities in technology and leadership and opportunities for community service projects. The program is uniquely suited for people with strong technical and analytical skills combined with broad business acumen.Assignments will typically focus on core IT processes in Network, Client/Server, Project Management, Database, Programming Languages, Web Development, Architecture, and/or System Integration. While focusing on the above-mentioned technologies, program members rotate around the four Genworth segments, getting exposure to different product lines and leadership styles. Program participants have the opportunity to use six sigma quality methodologies and project management skills to design complex business solutions. During the two-year program, an in depth technical and leadership curriculum will be available to apply the academic learnings to Genworth solutions.Basic Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in the following majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, CIS, MIS, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Sciences/Technology * Ability and willingness to potentially relocate to any Genworth Financial location every 6 months for two years* Minimum or better GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scalePreferred Qualifications:* Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal communication skills* Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving * Exposure to the insurance or financial services industry considered a plus* Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communications Additional Information Reference Code:   81273Status:   Full Time, EmployeeJob Category:   IT/Software Development Send this Job to a FriendSee all Company opportunities
