Associate:  Serve as a representative of Mercer when appropriate in new business presentations, even when not a member of the proposed core consulting team. This will sometimes take the form of assisting with the hosting of on-site due diligence visits by representatives of major prospects to Mercer's Seattle office.Represent the investment consulting business in the cross-line-of-business Seattle Market Leadership Group

Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients on the determination of investment objectives, establishment of investment policy, selection of investment managers and the monitoring of investments Manage all aspects of a consulting relationship including setting objectives, asset allocation, investment policy, manager selection and performance evaluationBuild strong relationships with both external clients and internal colleaguesLead efforts to aggressively market and expand the Investment Consulting business as well as Mercer's servicesDemonstrate expert level of knowledge of core, specialized and alternative investment strategiesCreate and evaluate investment strategies and their impact for large and jumbo market clientsMaintain marketplace visibility through public speaking engagements, participation in professional societies and publication or articles in appropriate trade journals. BA/BS degree in finance, business, economics or related disciplineMaster's degree in business and/or finance or enrollment in the CFA program (CFA a plus)Five or more years of investment experience with at least five years' experience dealing with plan sponsorsSuperior analytical, strategic planning, communication and listening skills with strong attention to detailExcellent organizational and project management skillsProven management skills in leading large complex projectsStrong, innovative sales and marketing skills and the ability to market organizational strengths successfullyStrong Microsoft Office skillsAbility to manage, motivate and mentor junior-level staffWillingness to adapt to changing work and travel arrangements.
