VP (Generalist) Human Resources
TITLE: VP, Human Resources
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for contributing to business growth by providing HR support and partnering with business leaders. The incumbent will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are clearly aligned with business needs and will consult with business leaders on all people related issues and talent needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful individual will partner with HR functional leaders to drive end to end HR processes including; organizational effectiveness, restructuring support, change management, staffing, compensation, talent, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, diversity, HR service delivery, compliance/AAP and legal. They will ensure the use of key metrics and data analysis to identify trends and recommend HR solutions. This VP role will be the primary point of contact to the assigned business(s) and provide seamless delivery of value-added HR service and products
EDUCATION:
A four year Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Business-related, or equivalent work experience is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:
- An accomplished human resources executive with a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Cutting edge understanding of all HR disciplines and competitive practices, must have knowledge in, and be proactive, to ensure compliant processes in all areas in accordance to HR laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated team leadership, facilitation skills and ability to build strong teams.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders to successfully drive the HR agenda, large scale change initiatives and gain their commitment and support.
- Goal focused, able to prioritize constantly. Strong client orientation.
- Strong knowledge of music industry, HR regulatory requirements and have strong financial acumen.
- Understanding of how to manage external business partnerships from HR and workforce perspectives.
- Ability to negotiate and influence effectively, be a risk taker in pushing for new outcomes.
- Creative thinking skills to develop win/win solutions for business issues that are recognized and valued by leaders, often managing through conflict.
- Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a results-driven approach.
- Unquestionable integrity and ability to handle sensitive personnel and compliance related issues.
- Demonstrated experience benchmarking and implementing best in class strategies, processes and programs.
- Understands the business vision, strategy, priorities financial and performance measures and cycle.
