User Experience Research Manager

Description:The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading user research initiatives in support of product management. This person will work closely with the rest of the product team to help drive strategic direction and tactical product decisions by reviewing site analytics data, synthesizing user research across the company and overseeing usability research initiatives. This position will report to the Head of User Experience. Understanding of user experience, site analytics and testing are critical. Qualifications: Prioritize, manage and oversee all product research initiatives Handle all aspects of product research budget Conduct user research using appropriate user centered design methods (i.e., be prepared to plan, design and conduct usability evaluations including heuristic evaluations, card sorts, competitive analyses, cognitive walkthroughs, 1:1 usability sessions, field studies, focus groups, web analytics and other data sets, A/B tests, etc.) Analyze and interpret data, compile professional reports and present findings to cross functional teams to support product development decisions and monitor live products Keep abreast of current usability developments and new methodologies Manage vendor relationships (e.g., outsourcing research to outside firms) Build strong collaborative relationships with Product Management, UED, BI, Marketing and Business Development teams.
