This cross functional position acts as a decision support resource for the areas of sales, marketing, planning, and finance using retail and market analytics to assist in shaping recommendations and providing input on the strategies to further PHE and its distributed lines consumer sales revenues. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:*With team, generates initial Consumer Demand Forecasts after theatrical release based on comparable title and/or Theatrical Box Office indicators with a targeted four week variance of /-10%*Validates and distributes New Release sales performance reports on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly basis to management *Oversees the assembly, validation and distribution of all industry category metrics (i.e. Industry/Class of Trade Dashboards), US and Canadian Rental Dashboards, maintenance and publication of the PHE Filmography, POS Statistical reporting and all Partner Reporting*Validates Initial Stock Placement (ISPs) to ensure proper product levels by store by market*With team, determines appropriate sales goals, preparing a 26 week daily account level business plan*Through standard reporting, monitors sales trends compared to plans of consumer demand, competitive growth and declines, as well as pricing and promotions communicating summarized results to VP and senior management*Collaborates with team in determining optimum street date rational and strategies for upcoming releases and programs*Collaborates with team in communicating the state of the industry for Quarterly earnings calls, press releases and budget presentations*Working with Sales, acts as a retail pricing forecasting specialist identifying titles and price points to help in obtaining annual volume targets*Working with Finance, provides title level forecasts used to quantify returns exposure by title*Performs on-going reporting and analytical projects of varying nature as required*Limited Travel to National and/or Regional Sales Meetings, Retailer Meetings *This position supervises the resident AC Nielsen/Videoscan and Market Navigator support and works closely with the NPD/Rentrak support staff on issues relating to syndicated data *This position validates data loaded into the US Industry Database and the POS Data Mart*This position is expected to manage spending within the assigned departmental budget for his/her travel and entertainment, general and administrative expendituresQualifications:Basic qualifications:*Bachelors Degree required in Marketing, Finance, Statistics or related field*Minimum three years of category management, sales planning demand forecasting, field sales, or retail marketing experience in the Entertainment or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry required *Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint are a must *Proficiency in Microstrategies, Cognos as well as SAP with an expectation of some work within several internal and external proprietary data systems (EVMI V5, Retail Link, Info Retriever, Work Bench, etc.) *Proficient with varied syndicated data sources/systems such as AC Nielsen or MRI is requiredDesired skills:*Highly organized and detailed oriented*Ability to multi-task and handle heavy workload in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; demonstrate highly developed analytical and mathematical skills to understand complex data*Excellent written and verbal communication skills*Able to work in a cross functional, team environment*Ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into concise and meaningful reports and/or presentations in a timely manner that will be presented to a variety of audiences*Customer service oriented and have ability to anticipate needs/demand of senior management as conditions change*Strong understanding of design and function of operational information systems*Experience with demographics/research databases and/or database marketing sales is desired. *Experience in designing and implementing custom reports, statistical models and analytical tools using multiple data sources a plus*Masters Degree preferred Eligibility requirements:* Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation* Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United StatesParamount Pictures is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Hollywood, CAJob Number: 5433Company URL: http://www.paramount.com/careers
