Role: We are looking for the right individual to join our busy IT team in our New York City office.  This full-time, hourly, position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking an exciting IT career in a technology based organization. This role is very client focused; requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a professional image are a must as you will be representing Ticketmaster by supporting our various products deployed at our high profile clients.  Opportunities are endless within our global organization for talented people and performance expectations are high.  This is an entry level position aimed at ambitious individuals looking for an IT career with a bright future.  Responsibilities are included but not limited to: ·  Information Services – performs services associated with computer hardware, software and networks.·  Technical Services - Defines, analyzes, and resolves technical problems on Ticketmaster equipment, systems and related equipment.  Performs installation, repair and preventative maintenance on TM equipment and systems.  ·  Telco Services – providing services associated with data telecommunications, including, but not limited to DSL, IDSL, Cable, Frame Relay, and POTS.  ·  Works closely with client technical personnel as required.  ·  Maintains and submits all required records.  ·  Properly communicates project status to client, TM management, and to other appropriate TM personnel.  ·  Adapts skills and knowledge as new TM products are adopted and implemented in order to properly service equipment.  ·  Performs shipping and receiving functions as well as general housekeeping in IT Department.  (This work may be performed both in-house and in the field.)·  Initiates and receives client, client rep, help desk phone calls and Remedy requests related to technical issues.  ·  Resolves issues over the phone where possible, determines possible cause of the issue, and involves other TM departments as needed in the troubleshooting and resolution process. ·  Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: ·  Years of experience: 0-3 years ·  AAS Degree or equivalent technical certificate and/or experience in a field service/technological industry position; a strong background in data communications, computers, and networking, as well an electro-mechanical aptitude.  ·  A good working knowledge of Windows 98/2000/XP and the Office 2003 suite of applications required.  ·  Experience with Server 2000/2003 a plus. ·  Candidate must be self-motivated, capable of independent reasoning and troubleshooting, and possess the ability to work reliably and responsibly both independently and in a team environment. ·  Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.  ·  Candidate must possess the ability to effectively work in an organized, efficient, neat manner; attention to detail is a must.  ·  Candidate must be available for rotating evening and weekend on call availability.  ·  Able to travel to client and outlet sites as required. ·  Company vehicles are used for field calls, but use of personal vehicles may be required for field visits resulting from calls outside of normal business hours.  ·  Must have a clean driving record with no prior alcohol related charges, be able to provide a current MVR, and must possess dependable transportation.  Competitive compensation and benefits package offered.
