HR Manager
An entertainment company is seeking a Human Resources Director. Must have HR Manager experience over 10 years in CA and understand Japanese culture.Manage Human Resources department and all staff, Advise and counsel the President/CEO, Department Directors and managers with employee relations, attendance, discipline, terminations, training and staff development, Management and Leadership training and development, Prepare budgets as needed, Manage the maintenance of new applicants, employee personnel files, and the accurate entry of data into the HRIS and database, Management consultation and resolution regarding employee relations and legal compliance including investigations, Development and interpretation of organizational policies/procedures to guide management in the application of risk management, disciplinary processes, grievances, hiring and selection, and compensation process, Development of company-wide goals and objectives, Ensure the organization's compensation practices and benefits are competitive with the market and related industry, Entering, auditing, and approving ADP Interfaces and payroll entry, to ensure accuracy and meet payroll deadlines, Development of Company wide job descriptions, Management of employee movement such as promotions, transfers, resignations, and discharges, Annual benefit negotiation and benefits administration, Leave of Absence administration including FMLA, CFRA, PDL and Personal leaves, Assist in planning of corporate parties, luncheons, meetings and dinners, Revise and standardize HR policies, including employee handbook, new hire orientation, and sick and vacation policies, Manage entire performance review process, which includes establishing timeline, reviewing documentation, coaching/counseling executives, managers, and supervisors, Update and manage all employee benefits programs including Section 125, 401k, Section 127, HIPAA and ERISA compliance.
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of HR Generalist experience, Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Working knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.High level of integrity and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. Proficient in Word, Excel. Proficiency in PowerPoint a plus, World-Class Customer Service skills and the ability to interact with Team Members from all levels of the organization, Accurate, dependable, detail oriented, analytical with strong organizational skills, A flexible and positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop, Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related discipline is required. An emphasis in Human Resources Management is preferred.
