General Manager - Las Vegas
General Manager – Premier Exhibitions (Las Vegas, NV):
Premier Exhibitions, Inc. is a fast-growing publicly traded company (NASDAQ:PRXI) in the business of developing and touring museum quality exhibitions. The company is currently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee personnel and operational management of a permanent international exhibition. The person in this classification exercises a considerable amount of independence in the performance of duties, supervises a number or subordinates, and receives general guidance from the National Director of Exhibition Operations.
- This position reports directly to the National Director Of Operations and works closely with the Head Office as required.
- Hires and manages all management and hourly personnel with assistance and input, as required.
- Financial management including budgeting, negotiation, contract preparation, marketing, operations management, managing accounts and settlements, cash management, bank deposits, and facilities management.
- Compliance management with regulatory requirements local jurisdictions, negotiations for equipment i.e. mechanical, electrical, electronic, fire protection, generators, plumbing, security, and life safety systems.
- Oral and written development and presentation of financial reporting to corporate management.
- Is responsible for the coordination of equipment rentals, internal and external equipment logistic, and freight and handling operations in conjunction with corporate Exhibit management.
- Will supervise and train host and maintenance personnel in procedures established by Premier Exhibitions.
-The General Manager must possess good administrative, public relations and maintenance skills necessary to enhance overall operations,

-The General Manager will ensure public relations are handled in a courteous and professional manner, both from oneself and other exhibit employees.
- The General Manager is charged with maintaining the integrity of the exhibit at all times.
- Assures the preparation and daily and weekly summary financial statements for exhibition.
- Makes routine decisions for the venue.
- Implement policies and procedures established by corporate office; recommends changes as appropriate.
- Supervises a retail operation.
- Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, or similar field;
- Four years of experience in the entertainment industry;
- Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of conducting exhibitions, including familiarity with personnel and equipment needed, facility preparation, ticket sales, and other facets of the exhibition business.
- Ability to work long hours in a fast paced, high stress atmosphere wherein on the spot decisions are required to accommodate constantly changing plans.
